David Phillippe Desrosiers, was born in Sept-Iles – Canada, August 29, 1980. Since childhood, he had a dream to form a band and pursue a career. While he was still kid, he learned to play several instruments. He also found that was a child who suffered from a disease called hyperactivity. At age 12, his parents, Charlotte and André divorced, and with that, David went to live with his sister, Julie Desrosiers.
As a teenager, proved to be a rebel boy and was even expelled from school. But as he was a good student, he was readmitted.
After high school, he was invited to be the new singer of the band Reset, as Pierre Bouvier had given up. David accepted, and soon learned all the songs from the band.
After six months with the Reset, David received an invitation to join the Simple Plan, who had been impressed with his talent. He hesitated a little, since the Reset was on tour and they had a contract, while the SP was in the beginning and had nothing. After some talks, David accepted the invitation and so Simple Plan was complete.
